Bar Fisk

Situated in a small street in Amsterdam's Pijp district, you'll find Bar Fisk. From the outside an unassuming place. Until you step inside and are transported to a busy, vibrant Tel Aviv restaurant.

That vibrancy can be found back in the delicious food served. It's packed with gutsy flavours. The idea is to order dishes to share. We had tiger shrimp with spicy aubergine and mango sauce, slow cooked and smoked beef brisket and lastly artichoke ravioli with creamy celeriac purée.

Desserts too were a treat - semolina cake drenched in a spiced syrup and a rich and dense chocolate and salted caramel cake served with frozen olive oil. Instead of drinking wine off their well-chosen list, we opted for a gin and tonic. Besides different g&t combinations they also serve a variety of cocktails and other drinks to cater for all tastes.

This restaurant is a great find and we will most definitely be regular visitors.

Cichi Dining Experience

Cichi Dining Experience is a young company that rents out beautiful design tableware for special dinners. Cilia de Cock, founder and owner of Cichi, likes to bring quality, personality and an international twist to the table. Plates that you would like at home, with brands like Broste Copenhagen, Steelite Craft Blue, &Klevering, Van Verre or Ottomania, and Catchii. They all have one thing in common, they express a personal style, make your dishes stand out and create an atmosphere to appreciate the moment. You can rent items per piece at Cichi, or have them make up your entire table. And if you fall in love with the products, you can buy them too.

We use tableware from Cichi in our space. It perfectly complements our surroundings and interior.

Private Dining

If you are looking for a venue to host private and exclusive lunches and dinners for up to 50 people (for cocktail parties and walking dinners we can accommodate 90-100 people), our dining area is the perfect space. For a more homely atmosphere for up to 14 people, we can use the dining room at 180 Graden, a typical canal house in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district. For larger events, please contact us to discuss possibilities.

A Look Back at Opening Week and Rens Kroes' Book Launch

Wowzers!! What a week we've just had. Last Wednesday 10th June was an historic day for Amsterdam Flavours. It was our first official day open and a race against the clock to get our new place at the Westergasfabriek ready on time. The long days, moments of stress and worry have paid off and we now have a magnificent space to show for it.

We opened straight away with the book launch and pop-up restaurant for Rens Kroes. We cooked and served a menu comprising recipes from her new book Powerfood 2 - van Friesland naar New York. We met the most amazing people in the last few days and the buzz and hype around our new place was phenomenal. We still need to come down to earth!

Here's a look back in pictures of everything that's happened over the past week. And what does the future hold we hear you ask? Many more exciting things!

P.S. please all feel free to visit us at our new place at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
