The Dream Team

We met one another at an Amsterdam cooking school. After working there together we decided to join culinary forces. It just clicked between us and it’s seldom you find someone with whom you can so easily work. Our food journey together has included cooking lessons and workshops, private dining, catering, recipe development and styling. While we still continue with all of these culinary activities, our journey together now includes Amsterdam Flavours.Mischa & Bernadette

Bernadette Evers-Grasveld

Cooking has always been my passion. When our four children left home, cooking became my profession.

Inspired by the seasons, I strive to get the freshest and best products I can. Simple, pure and clean flavours are what characterises my style of cooking (the Italian kitchen is one of my favourites). Individual ingredients should come to the forefront. The idea that cooking can be enjoyable, simple and fulfilling for eveybody is important to me.

Cooking is about love and sharing. It’s about eating together with family and friends and celebrating all that is good in life.

Mischa de Winter

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. Having had the desire to be a pilot most of my childhood, fascinated by the thrill of flying, a career in food wasn’t the obvious choice. I developed a passion for cooking when I learned the basics from my mom, the best family cook I know.

Being the only bloke in my high school to study home economics, discovering my eyesight wouldn’t be good enough for a career in flying and enjoying messing about in the kitchen were reasons enough to fuel my culinary passions. In 2001, I graduated from the prestigious Silwood School of Cookery in Cape Town, with a Grande Diploma. I also worked in a number of top restaurants and hotels, further honing my craft.

I moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands, to further my career and spent time working in various hotels and restaurants expanding my repertoire and styles of cooking. Being able to share my passion for food and cooking with others is what I enjoy most.
